Tom M. Phelps
Tom Phelps, Chief Executive Officer for Plateau Telecommunications in Clovis for the past 19 years, has contributed immensely to the eastern New Mexico communities through his involvement in educational, economic, medical and military foundations and committees. Tom has a B.S. in Accounting from California State University and a MBA from Eastern New Mexico University.

Tom served as the Chairman of Clovis Committee of 50 Military Affairs Committee as well as being appointed to the Military Base Planning Commission by Governor Susana Martinez. Tomís involvement was critical to continued development involving national security strategies and a land acquisition program.

With regard to economic development, Tom has been a long time member of the Clovis Industrial Development Commission and was President of the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce.

Currently Tom is Vice Chairman for the Board of Trustees for the Plains Regional Medical Center, where under his leadership they have addressed many challenges associated with delivering health care to a growing community. As a Board of Directors and Executive Committee member for Clovis Municipal Schools Foundation, Tom has leveraged outside contributions to further K-12 educational programs. As Chairman of the Clovis Civil Aviation Commission, Tom was instrumental in obtaining increased air service to Clovis.

Tom also serves as Vice Chairman for the National Telephone Cooperative Associate Ė Health Plan Trust and is a Board Member for the Clovis Industrial Development Corporation.
