Robert T. Maruca
Beginning with a distinguished military career, Retired Full Colonel Robert T. Maruca has served on many committees, boards, and organizations. Rob has been a member of the YMCA of Central New Mexico Corporate Board for several years, serving on committees that include the Board Development Committee, Finance Committee, Executive Committee, Search Committee for CEO selection, and is currently starting a two year term as the Board Chair which is the Chief Volunteer Officer.

Upon retirement from the military Rob began a lengthy career as CEO at UNM Children’s Hospital, where he built Pete’s Playground and initiated participation in the National Miracle Network Telethon. He then served as the Director of the New Mexico Medicaid program in Santa Fe where he was successful in improving and enhancing Medicaid programs during his tenure, and eventually led the Medicaid program for the District of Columbia. Rob was instrumental in development of the State Coverage Insurance program which provided health care to over 50,000 New Mexicans.

Rob is an active member of the Del Norte Rotary Club bringing weekly speakers of community interest to the club. He serves on the boards of the New Mexico Telehealth Alliance, an organization dedicated to providing new access to health care in rural communities not served by major health facilities, and serves on the The Lovelace Clinic Foundation, an organization deeply involved with developing and promulgating information technology for doctors and health facilities.
