Robert P. Matteucci
He has served 18 years on the TVI Governing Board where he helped oversee TVI's transition from a technical-vocational institute to the state's largest community college. During his tenure, TVI's enrollment has doubled. His interest and service in education started with his 1970 appointment (by then Governor Bruce King) to the Board of Educational Finance, now the Commission on Higher Education.
Albuquerque native Robert P. Matteucci has a lengthy history of public service in New Mexico, ranging from education and healthcare to economic development and social services.
He has also served his alma mater, UNM as president of the Alumni Association, president of the Lobo Club and a presidential search committee member. And, in the mid 1980's he served on the board on the New Mexico Educational Assistance Foundation and returned to that board in 2001 and currently serves as chair. He has also served 12 years on the board of the Albuquerque Business Education Compact. Currently. he serves as chairman of the American Association of Community College Trustees.
His service is not limited to educational endeavors, he has devoted thousands of volunteer hours as a member of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services board of directors. Of his fellow 1VI boardmembex: Richard Barr former Presbyterian president and CEO says "I can personally attest to the value of his contributions during years of substantial growth for the hospital."
Bobby's economic development service has extended throughout his career from service to the New Mexico Economic Development Board to presidential terms in the New Mexico Retail Association, the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau of New Mexico and as a commissioner of the City of Albuquerque's Urban Development Agency.
Bobby has also focused his public service energies on helping local social service agencies help those in need through years of dedicated service with the United Way and the Family and Children's Agency. Mr. Mattuecci has most certainly distinguished himself during his decades of selfless public service to his community and our State.
