Recognizing Those Committed to Making a Difference
Linda Pacheco Huter
As a secretary in the Defense Threat Reduction Agency for the ten-person division at KAFB, Ms. Huter exhibits remarkable talent for encouraging teamwork among administrators. In March of this year Ms. Huter was presented a performance award recognizing her for providing high level quality administrative/professional support ensuring DTRA mission requirements were accomplished. She has also been awarded an "On the Spot" performance award and been recognized for a wide variety of activities in her organization.
Ms. Huter's efforts significandy enhanced her agency's involvement supporting KAFB and community activities. She helped develop awareness in the value of diversity through her involvement in the 2002 KAFB Women's History Month Committee and the KAFB American Indian Heritage Month Committee. She serves as a volunteer on the DTRA Blood Drive Committee coordinating monthly blood donations for United Blood Services. She was a key player in collection and distribution of a project to distribute over 500 Christmas gifts to underprivileged school children in Albuquerque.
She has voluntteered for over 23 years as a Probation Officer and over 6 years as a Mediator for the Albuquerque Metropolitan Court as well as volunteering with Women's Care at St. Joseph Hospital promoting sound physical mental health for women and families.
