Debbie Hays
Ms. Hays in her position as Sandoval County Manager works to assure highly efficient services for County residents. During her 13 year ten- ure Sandoval County has attained respect and recognition as a smoothly ron, ethical, fiscally responsible and economically secure government entity. Under her direction, the county's senior and youth programs, libraries and recreation, job development, substance abuse and DWI treattnent programs, emergency response services, etc. have been greatly enhanced.
Among projects Ms. Hays has had tremendous impact on include the establishment, and expansion of the Sandoval County Landfill; the establishment of the Maternal and Child Health Program; acquisition of 56 acres to be used for development of a judicial complex and healthcare center; establishment of a Joint Powers Agreement among the counties of Sandoval, Valencia and Bernalillo to oversee Tri-county Juvenile Detention Center and several others.
She serves as current co-chair of the Sandoval County Health Alliance; and is a member of the Governor's Blue Ribbon Tax Reform Committee; North Central New Mexico Economic Development District; and Valencia County Regional Juvenile Detention Center Advisory Board. In the past she has served on the New Mexico Association of Counties; New Mexico Boy's and Girl's Ranch; HUB Resource Conservation and Development Area Council and others.
