Felicie D. Truscio
A veterans service representative for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Felicie D. Truscio manages to find time-despite her fulltime job-to demonstrate her commitment to the community, city, county, state, and various civil and religious organizations.

Her current civic and community involvement includes:

  • City Councilor for Rio Rancho;
  • Board of Directors of the Middle Rio Grande Council of Governments;
  • Acting Chair for the Urban Transportation Planning Policy Board,
  • Member of the N. M. Municipal League, Public Infrastructure & Communications;
  • Member of the Sandoval County Local Emergency Planning Committee;
  • Member of the National League of Cities;
  • Member of the Albuquerque Aquarium Association;
  • Member of the Southern Poverty Law Center;
  • Auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 118 for the city of Rio Rancho;
  • Member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church;
  • Executive board member of the Broadmoor Neighborhood Association,
  • West Mesa Branch Member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Truscio was also a former deputy mayor and served on the State Juvenile Justice Committee for two terms. In addition, she also served two terms on the Library Board for the city of Rio Rancho.
