Michael D. DeWitte
Michael D. DeWitte, a Senior Manager at Sandia National Laboratories, developed and manages the Community Involvement & Issues Management (CIIM) Office. The office is responsible for Laboratory relationships with government, regulatory, business, community, and civic organizations along with managing corporate volunteer programs, contributions, and an education outreach program. The office has been recognized for excellence on a national and local level.
Michael's efforts in the community were successful in the School to World program, reaching more than 2000 8th grade students in an effort to keep them in school.
He is active with the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce and won a Superior Service Award from the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce. He was a Charter class member of Leadership New Mexico and helped create the mission of the Albuquerque Shared Vision Project as Chairman of the Board of Directors.He is Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Economic Forum and chairs their Education Committee and serves on the Albuquerque Business Education Compact (ABEC). In addition, he was appointed to serve on the Mayor's Sustainable Community Committee.
